While trying to find an Oblique Strategies widget for WordPress (hint: there isn’t one), I had occasion to revisit Gregory Taylor’s very useful website about the cards. While there, I noticed a feature of the website that I hadn’t noticed before.
Books and more books and no time to read
May 23, 2009Moving your household provides many opportunities, one of them is the opportunity to sort through your belongings and get rid of some of them. Due to time constraints, I was unable to do much sorting during the packing phase. Thus, I find myself sorting items during the unpacking.
Eno + iPhone = Bloom
November 5, 2008I’ve just learned about Bloom, which is a piece of generative music software for the iPhone created by Brian Eno and Peter Chilvers.
I’ve only spent a few minutes with it so far, but am very pleased with it. I think Adam Gates has a great description for it:
“Basically its a new Eno ambient album every time you turn it on except Eno hasn’t heard it, and never will. But it’s still Eno. The philosophical implications are of course staggering!”
(Aside: I wonder if there is an Oblique Strategies plugin for WordPress?)
