BizTalk Server 2009 Released

If you were watching for it, some recent press confirms that BizTalk Server 2009 is now available.

As you may recall, I will generally resist advertising on behalf of my employer on this blog. Thus, I call out this release for two reasons:

  1. The handful of readers here are typically looking to read about rules. For those readers, I want to highlight that BizTalk 2009 includes the latest revision of the Microsoft BRE, one of the two rule engines Microsoft currently ships.
  2. While the product development was already underway before I joined the company, I was still able to contribute to it in a small way and it thus marks the first software I have shipped at Microsoft.
